 MAT 1:6  then Jesse begot David the king. Then King David begot Solomon by her who was of Uriah,
 MAT 1:9  then Uzziah begot Jotham, then Jotham begot Ahaz, then Ahaz begot Hezekiah;
 MAT 1:10  then Hezekiah begot Manasseh, then Manasseh begot Amon, then Amon begot Josiah;
 MAT 1:13  then Zerubbabel begot Abiud, then Abiud begot Eliakim, then Eliakim begot Azor;
 MAT 1:14  then Azor begot Zadok, then Zadok begot Achim, then Achim begot Eliud;
 MAT 1:18  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they joined together, she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
 MAT 1:22  Now all this happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet should be fulfilled, namely:
 MAT 1:25  but did not know her until she had given birth to her son, the firstborn. And he called His name JESUS.
 MAT 2:1  Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men [magi] from the East came into Jerusalem,
 MAT 2:3  When Herod the king heard it he became agitated, and all Jerusalem with him.
 MAT 2:8  And directing them to Bethlehem he said, “When you get there, search carefully for the young child; and should you find him, bring back word to me, so that I also may go and worship him.”
 MAT 2:9  So having heard the king they departed, and there was the star that they had seen in the East! It went before them until it arrived and stopped above where the young Child was.
 MAT 2:11  And coming into the house they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and falling down they worshiped Him; and opening their treasures they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense and myrrh.
 MAT 2:13  Now when they had departed, again, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream saying: “Get up, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt and stay there until I tell you; because Herod is about to seek the young Child to destroy Him!”
 MAT 2:14  So he got up and took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt.
 MAT 2:15  And he was there until the death of Herod, so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet should be fulfilled, namely: “Out of Egypt I called my Son.”
 MAT 2:16  Then Herod, when he saw that he had been deceived by the wise men, became very angry, and he sent out and killed all the boys who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.
 MAT 2:17  Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, namely:
 MAT 2:20  saying: “Get up, take the young Child and His mother and go into the land of Israel, for those seeking the life of the young Child have died.”
 MAT 2:21  So he got up and took the young Child and His mother and went into the land of Israel.
 MAT 2:23  And upon arriving he settled in a city called Natsareth [Branch-town], so that what was spoken through the prophets should be fulfilled, that He would be called a Natsorean [Branch-man].
 MAT 3:2  and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has come near!”
 MAT 3:3  For this is he who was referred to by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “A voice crying-out, ‘Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.’ ”
 MAT 3:9  and don't even think to say within yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as father,’ for I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
 MAT 3:16  And having been baptized Jesus came up directly from the water, when wow, the heavens were opened to Him, and he saw the Spirit of God coming down like a dove and alighting upon Him.
 MAT 4:5  Then the devil takes Him into the holy city and sets Him upon the pinnacle of the temple,
 MAT 4:6  and says to Him, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written: ‘He will give orders to His angels about you, and they will lift you up on their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’ ”
 MAT 4:8  Again the devil takes Him to a very high mountain and shows Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
 MAT 4:13  And leaving Natsareth behind, He went and took up residence in Capernaum by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali;
 MAT 4:14  so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet should be fulfilled, namely:
 MAT 4:16  The people sitting in darkness saw a great light, and upon those sitting in the place and shadow of death light has dawned.”
 MAT 4:17  From then on Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has come near.”
 MAT 4:18  And walking by the Sea of Galilee He saw two brothers, Simon (the one called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a circular net into the sea (for they were fishermen).
 MAT 4:19  And He says to them, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.”
 MAT 4:24  So His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were sick—suffering with various diseases and torments, and being demonized and being moonstruck, and paralytics—and He healed them.
 MAT 5:3  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
 MAT 5:5  Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
 MAT 5:9  Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
 MAT 5:10  Blessed are those who have been persecuted on account of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
 MAT 5:11  “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and speak all kinds of evil against you, lying, because of Me.
 MAT 5:16  So also let your light shine before the people, so that they may see your good works and may glorify your Father, who is in the heavens.
 MAT 5:19  Therefore, whoever annuls one of the least of these commandments and teaches that to the people will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.
 MAT 5:20  For I say to you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees you will absolutely not enter the kingdom of the heavens!
 MAT 5:22  But I say to you that whoever gets angry with his brother without cause will be liable to the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Numbskull!’ will be liable to the council. But whoever says, ‘You absolute idiot!’ will be liable to hell fire.
 MAT 5:25  Be agreeable to your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest the adversary hand you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
 MAT 5:28  But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
 MAT 5:36  Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.
 MAT 5:39  But I say to you not to resist the evildoer; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
 MAT 5:40  “And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have the cloak as well.
 MAT 5:42  Give to him who asks you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.
 MAT 5:45  that you may prove to be sons of your Father in the heavens; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust.
 MAT 6:3  But when you do charitable giving do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
 MAT 6:5  And whenever you pray do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners, so that they may be seen by the people. Assuredly I say to you that they already have their reward.
 MAT 6:7  “But when you pray do not babble like the heathen; for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
 MAT 6:8  So do not be like them, because your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
 MAT 6:9  Therefore, you pray like this: ‘Our Father who is in the heavens, let Your name be reverenced;
 MAT 6:10  let Your kingdom come, let Your will be done, on the earth just as in heaven.
 MAT 6:13  And do not bring us into testing, but rescue us from the evil one; because Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’
 MAT 6:16  “Also, whenever you fast do not become gloomy like the hypocrites, because they disfigure their faces so that people will notice that they are fasting. Assuredly I say to you that they already have their reward.
 MAT 6:19  “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust ruin and where thieves break in and steal;
 MAT 6:20  but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust ruins and where thieves neither break in nor steal;
 MAT 6:23  But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
 MAT 6:25  Therefore, I say to you not to worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
 MAT 6:26  Look at the birds of the air, that they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not superior to them?
 MAT 6:29  and yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was arrayed like one of these.
 MAT 6:31  Therefore do not worry saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
 MAT 6:32  For the pagans seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need each of these things.
 MAT 6:33  Rather, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
 MAT 7:2  Because with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
 MAT 7:3  So why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
 MAT 7:4  Or how will you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye,’ when hey, there is a plank in yours?
 MAT 7:5  Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
 MAT 7:7  Keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.
 MAT 7:8  For each one asking, receives; and the one seeking, finds; and to the one knocking it will be opened.
 MAT 7:9  Or which man is among you who, if his son asks for bread will give him a stone?
 MAT 7:10  Or if he asks for a fish will give him a snake?
 MAT 7:11  If you then, being evil, know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those who ask Him!
