23215	MAT 1:2	Abraham fathered Isaac, Isaac fathered Jacob, and Jacob fathered Judah and his brothers.
23224	MAT 1:11	Josiah fathered Jeconiah and his brothers at the time of the captivity in Babylon.
23225	MAT 1:12	And after the captivity in Babylon, Jeconiah fathered Shealtiel, and Shealtiel fathered Zerubbabel.
23227	MAT 1:14	Azor fathered Zadok, Zadok fathered Achim, and Achim fathered Eliud.
23228	MAT 1:15	Eliud fathered Eleazar, Eleazar fathered Matthan, and Matthan fathered Jacob.
23229	MAT 1:16	And Jacob fathered Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.
23230	MAT 1:17	So all the generations from Abraham till David were fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon were fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ were fourteen generations.
23231	MAT 1:18	Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
23232	MAT 1:19	Then Joseph her husband, being righteous and not wanting to disgrace her, purposed to put her away secretly.
23233	MAT 1:20	But while he was thinking about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take unto you Mary your wife, for that which is begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit.
23234	MAT 1:21	And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.”
23235	MAT 1:22	Now all this came to pass that the thing spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
23236	MAT 1:23	“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
23238	MAT 1:25	but did not know her till she brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.
23240	MAT 2:2	saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East, and have come to worship Him.”
23242	MAT 2:4	And having gathered together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired from them where the Christ would be born.
23244	MAT 2:6	‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you shall come forth a Ruler who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ”
23245	MAT 2:7	Then Herod, secretly having called the wise men, ascertained from them the time that the star appeared.
23246	MAT 2:8	And having sent them to Bethlehem, he said, “Go and search diligently for the young Child, and as soon as you find Him, report back to me, so that I also may come and worship Him.”
23247	MAT 2:9	When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was.
23248	MAT 2:10	And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
23249	MAT 2:11	And having come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and falling down, they worshiped Him, and opening their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
23250	MAT 2:12	And having been divinely instructed in a dream not to return to Herod, they withdrew into their own country by another way.
23253	MAT 2:15	and was there until the death of Herod, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
23254	MAT 2:16	Then Herod, seeing that he had been deceived by the wise men, was greatly enraged; and he sent and executed all the boys in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had ascertained from the wise men.
23256	MAT 2:18	“A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”
23259	MAT 2:21	Then he rose and took along the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel.
23260	MAT 2:22	But hearing that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being divinely instructed in a dream, he withdrew into the regions of Galilee.
23261	MAT 2:23	And when he arrived, he settled down in a city called Nazareth, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”
23262	MAT 3:1	In those days John the Baptist arrived preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
23264	MAT 3:3	For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “A voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.’ ”
23265	MAT 3:4	And John himself had his clothing made from camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
23267	MAT 3:6	and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.
23268	MAT 3:7	But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
23269	MAT 3:8	Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance,
23270	MAT 3:9	and do not think to say among yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones.
23271	MAT 3:10	But even now, the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
23272	MAT 3:11	I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit,
23273	MAT 3:12	whose winnowing shovel is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His threshing floor, and He will gather His wheat into the barn; but the chaff He will burn up with unquenchable fire.”
23275	MAT 3:14	But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I have need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”
23277	MAT 3:16	And having been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on Him.
23278	MAT 3:17	And behold, a voice came out of the heavens, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
23281	MAT 4:3	And approaching Him, the tempter said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones may become bread.”
23282	MAT 4:4	But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ ”
23283	MAT 4:5	Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
23284	MAT 4:6	and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge concerning you,’ and, ‘In their hands they will lift you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”
23289	MAT 4:11	Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
23291	MAT 4:13	And leaving Nazareth behind, He came and settled down in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali,
23292	MAT 4:14	so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
23295	MAT 4:17	From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
23296	MAT 4:18	Now as He was walking alongside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
23299	MAT 4:21	And having gone forth from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. And He called them.
