| GEN 1:1 | In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. |
| GEN 1:2 | The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters. |
| GEN 1:3 | God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. |
| GEN 1:4 | God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness. |
| GEN 1:5 | God called the light “day”, and the darkness he called “night”. There was evening and there was morning, the first day. |
| GEN 1:6 | God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” |
| GEN 1:7 | God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. |
| GEN 1:8 | God called the expanse “sky”. There was evening and there was morning, a second day. |
| GEN 1:9 | God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear;” and it was so. |
| GEN 1:10 | God called the dry land “earth”, and the gathering together of the waters he called “seas”. God saw that it was good. |
| GEN 1:11 | God said, “Let the earth yield grass, herbs yielding seeds, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with their seeds in it, on the earth;” and it was so. |
| GEN 1:12 | The earth yielded grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with their seeds in it, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. |
| GEN 1:14 | God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs to mark seasons, days, and years; |
| GEN 1:16 | God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars. |
| GEN 1:17 | God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light to the earth, |
| GEN 1:18 | and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good. |
| GEN 1:20 | God said, “Let the waters abound with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the sky.” |
| GEN 1:21 | God created the large sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. God saw that it was good. |
| GEN 1:22 | God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” |
| GEN 1:24 | God said, “Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;” and it was so. |
| GEN 1:25 | God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. God saw that it was good. |
| GEN 1:26 | God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” |
| GEN 1:27 | God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. |
| GEN 1:28 | God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” |
| GEN 1:29 | God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food. |
| GEN 1:31 | God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. |
| GEN 2:2 | On the seventh day God finished his work which he had done; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. |
| GEN 2:3 | God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had done. |
| GEN 2:4 | This is the history of the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens. |
| GEN 2:5 | No plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprung up; for the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth. There was not a man to till the ground, |
| GEN 2:7 | The LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. |
| GEN 2:8 | The LORD God planted a garden eastward, in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed. |
| GEN 2:9 | Out of the ground the LORD God made every tree to grow that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food, including the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. |
| GEN 2:13 | The name of the second river is Gihon. It is the same river that flows through the whole land of Cush. |
| GEN 2:15 | The LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it. |
| GEN 2:16 | The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; |
| GEN 2:18 | The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.” |
| GEN 2:19 | Out of the ground the LORD God formed every animal of the field, and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called every living creature became its name. |
| GEN 2:21 | The LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. As the man slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. |
| GEN 2:22 | The LORD God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. |
| GEN 3:1 | Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Has God really said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?” |
| GEN 3:3 | but not the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said, ‘You shall not eat of it. You shall not touch it, lest you die.’” |
| GEN 3:5 | for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” |
| GEN 3:8 | They heard the LORD God’s voice walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. |
| GEN 3:9 | The LORD God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” |
| GEN 3:11 | God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” |
| GEN 3:13 | The LORD God said to the woman, “What have you done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” |
| GEN 3:14 | The LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed above all livestock, and above every animal of the field. You shall go on your belly and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. |
| GEN 3:21 | The LORD God made garments of animal skins for Adam and for his wife, and clothed them. |
| GEN 3:22 | The LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever—” |
| GEN 3:23 | Therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken. |
| GEN 4:25 | Adam knew his wife again. She gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, saying, “for God has given me another child instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” |
| GEN 5:1 | This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in God’s likeness. |
| GEN 5:22 | After Methuselah’s birth, Enoch walked with God for three hundred years, and became the father of more sons and daughters. |
| GEN 5:24 | Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him. |
| GEN 6:2 | God’s sons saw that men’s daughters were beautiful, and they took any that they wanted for themselves as wives. |
| GEN 6:4 | The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God’s sons came in to men’s daughters and had children with them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. |
| GEN 6:9 | This is the history of the generations of Noah: Noah was a righteous man, blameless amongst the people of his time. Noah walked with God. |
| GEN 6:11 | The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. |
| GEN 6:12 | God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. |
| GEN 6:13 | God said to Noah, “I will bring an end to all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them and the earth. |
| GEN 6:22 | Thus Noah did. He did all that God commanded him. |
| GEN 7:9 | went by pairs to Noah into the ship, male and female, as God commanded Noah. |
| GEN 7:16 | Those who went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him; then the LORD shut him in. |
| GEN 8:1 | God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided. |
| GEN 8:15 | God spoke to Noah, saying, |
| GEN 8:16 | “Go out of the ship, you, your wife, your sons, and your sons’ wives with you. |
| GEN 9:1 | God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth. |
| GEN 9:6 | Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image. |
| GEN 9:8 | God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying, |
| GEN 9:12 | God said, “This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: |
| GEN 9:16 | The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” |
| GEN 9:17 | God said to Noah, “This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.” |
| GEN 9:26 | He said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant. |
| GEN 9:27 | May God enlarge Japheth. Let him dwell in the tents of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.” |
| GEN 10:2 | The sons of Japheth were: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. |
| GEN 10:3 | The sons of Gomer were: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. |
| GEN 10:16 | the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, |
| GEN 10:19 | The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon—as you go towards Gerar—to Gaza—as you go towards Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim—to Lasha. |
| GEN 10:23 | The sons of Aram were: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. |
| GEN 13:10 | Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Jordan, that it was well-watered everywhere, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar. |
| GEN 14:1 | In the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar; Arioch, king of Ellasar; Chedorlaomer, king of Elam; and Tidal, king of Goiim, |
| GEN 14:2 | they made war with Bera, king of Sodom; Birsha, king of Gomorrah; Shinab, king of Admah; Shemeber, king of Zeboiim; and the king of Bela (also called Zoar). |
| GEN 14:8 | The king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (also called Zoar) went out; and they set the battle in array against them in the valley of Siddim |
| GEN 14:9 | against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five. |
| GEN 14:10 | Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and some fell there. Those who remained fled to the hills. |
| GEN 14:11 | They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way. |
| GEN 14:18 | Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High. |
| GEN 14:19 | He blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth. |
| GEN 14:20 | Blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave him a tenth of all. |
| GEN 14:21 | The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people, and take the goods for yourself.” |
| GEN 14:22 | Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to the LORD, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth, |
| GEN 15:2 | Abram said, “Lord GOD, what will you give me, since I go childless, and he who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?” |
| GEN 15:8 | He said, “Lord GOD, how will I know that I will inherit it?” |
| GEN 15:21 | the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.” |
| GEN 16:13 | She called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, “You are a God who sees,” for she said, “Have I even stayed alive after seeing him?” |
| GEN 17:1 | When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless. |
| GEN 17:3 | Abram fell on his face. God talked with him, saying, |
